Pilgrims

They are approaching you,
Don't lose them out of sight
Among the fields and groves,
Roads and poplars.
They've been walking for a long time,
Their footsteps are barely audible,
But the heart knows ahead of time that
They are on their way, they're coming.
They wander In rain and snow.
So that they could hug you
And keep you away from Folly and pain,
And kiss you. Their faces are hidden,
They draw from darkness the light that Blinds your eyes.
They warm up your heart with their hands. They are coming to you,
Don't lose them out of sight
Step forth to meet them…
